Khor Seow Hooi has been painting for forty years. since graduating from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts.  In 1969 his ink and wash drawing won Honourable Mention at a National Gallery competition. He was engaged professinally with  textile printing and designing but it is his water colours, ranging over a variety of Malayan scenes, that marks him as an artist of  stature.
