| COUNTDOWN So many, many years have passed in a whoosh .... though never too many years. Together we've grown so old; but for the grace of God not yet decrepit or alzheimic. As, inexorable, we hurtle towards the cremotorium i sometimes stop to conduct a one- man moratorium on this marathon union of over-the-top intensity. The good, bad &. so of ten mad times our blood 8c pas si on-fuelled sessions .... now, admittedly, somewhat sporadic; yet never staid, perfunctory or missionary but always, always breathless seismic! And those impossible-to-predict insane irrational explosions of anger where across the kitchen floor volcanic we've eyeballed each other with shades of murderous intent. Still, even in those taut hours of bitterest rancour there was ... no other; & all that shouting & screaming never once undermined the loving. |
