Siar Boay (Village End - formerly this was practically the end of the town) - Beach Street between Malay Street and Prangin Ditch. Those parts of Prangin Road and Bridge Street which join Beach Street at the Anson Bridge are sometimes, though improperly, called Siar Boay; the general name for the whole district round about here is Ujong Pasar, meaning end of town. Sin Barn Sarn (New Market, the Central market. Barn Sarn, a corruption of the Malay bangsal, a shed)) -  Market Street Ghaut (Lo Man Yuk) 

Sin Hai-lam Kongsi Kay (New Hainanese Kongsi Lane, after the new kongsi house of the Hainanese.) -  Muntri Street. Also Saik Lar Nee Harng,  also Larm Huar Ee Enee Kay (Lo Man Yuk)

Sin Hee Tai (New Theatre, after the new Chinese Theatre there) - Drury Lane (Lo Man Yuk)

Sin Kay (New Street)  - Campbell Street. "New street" in contradistinction to Chulia Street, the old street where all they Chinese brothels were before Campbell Street was constructed. Also Sin Tuar Mui Lau. (Lo Man Yuk). Named after the influx of new prostitutes. Malay name Jalan Nona Baru is more accurate (Dr Goh Ban Lee)

Sin Kay Hnoai Kay (New Street Cross Street - The street crossing Campbell Street) - Cintra Street. Also P'ar P'au Kay (Lo Man Yuk)
 
Sin Kay T'au ((at the) Head of New Street) - Buckingham Street (Lo Man Luk)

Sin Kuan-ah Kak (the New Esplanade) - North Beach now Gurney Drive

Sin Tuar Mui Lau (New Chulia Street ) - Campbell Street. In Cantonese Karm Lay Tai Kai, KamLat being the Cantonese pronumciation of Campbell. This name is chiefly used in matters of marriage, funerals and joss processions. (Lo Man Yuk)

Snuar T'au Kay (Swatow Street) - Kimberley Street. (Lo Man Yuk).See under Tio Chiu Kay 

Soon Taik Kongsi Kay (Soon Taik Kongsi Lane) - Bishop Street between King Street and Pitt Street.Called after the kongsi house of the Soon Taik people (Lo Man Yuk)
